A few days before All-Saints, Benjamin Verdonck announced the ‚Processie der dingen‘ (procession of things) which will take place from 9 am to 5 pm on the 1st of November. 4 Large sculptures are manufactured of daily items: a beer can, a lighter, a cellphone and a toilet duck. They are rather large and painted white and have an absurdness to them. They are symbols of certain basic necessities of life such as fire, and a way to transport liquids. Accompanied with music they were carried around town. In oder to restore a better co-creation relationship (since without them the work would not be possible) Benjamin Verdonck invited/hired the people from Sans-papiers to contribute as ‚carriers‘, as he found a way to pay them, without having to give an address of residence.
